June would make a cute name too, wouldn’t you think? 😉
Today marks 5 years with my dude.
Here’s a few things I’ve noticed about him in the past half decade: He makes a pretty cool roommate and co-dog owner. He’s great with laundry, dishes, and taking out the trash. He’s very low maintenance, just need to feed him once a day (he’s able to feed himself the other half of the day). He loves a great TV series (ex. Fringe, Dexter, Rosswell…) and seasonally he’ll indulge in watching sports, well more so football and basketball. He’s the biggest homebody. He’d really only make effort to go out if we were celebrating something or if his coworkers put together something. He talks with his mom on the phone once every couple of weeks, but he has never initiated the calls, and sometimes it’ll just be me talking to his mom. He’s definitely not the most spontaneous person but sometimes he’ll pick me up off my feet just because. Then he’ll quickly put me down and while breathing heavily he’ll say something like I’m heavier than I look. He can be kinda funny. He has his wits at moments. He needs to be reminded that I like flowers. He can cook a pretty tasty steak. And that’s all he can cook. Nope, I lied, he can also make rice. And spaghetti. We’ve managed to go through house buying process twice. People who’ve bought homes know the mounts of stress that it can bring. We’ve made it out alive both times. So yes, he’s a pretty good partner for making huge life decisions.
And that’s why he’s my forever dude.
